Roller Hockey Broadband TV
Network to webcast November 6th!
Roller Hockey TV is set to begin The 2010-11 MLRH Pro season November 6 as the 949 Anarchy take on LA Pama Cyclones along with two other pro games which launch the road to the $10k prize.
MLRH plans to launch it's midwest pro division featuring the season opening game with the Chicago Rollersnakes and the Michigan Thunder tentatively scheduled for November 13th.
MLRH will then move to the east coast for November 20th's matchup with teams in the East coast division as they launch their "Pro" division".
In the past; MLRH has had several TV agreements to air it's games including the B2 Network and Versus but the league was always at the mercy of the various networks and their programing decisions. "Owning our own network provides us with the flexibility to determine our own programing, what events we elect to cover and the assurance that they will air at the times of our choosing," said MLRH Founder Bill Raue.
Raue added that, while the new network will carry MLRH programing, it will not limit it's coverage to just MLRH programing. "We plan to do all things roller hockey including live games, talk shows and features from rinks around the country," Raue added.
League officials indicated that MLRH teams will be able to produce weekly programing from their rink featuring player interviews and features on the team and local events. The goal being that grass roots programs, rinks and the people who make the magic, get to let everyone know how great this game is.
One of the projected programs is the Roller Hockey Net Road Show that will broadcast from local rinks allowing players and fans to follow their sport wherever it is played.
