Fearless and fast, another speedster from the land
of the Lamborghini, Maserati, Ferrari
Above, Sara Camastra, outmuscled once again, battles for the puck.
If you met Sara Camastra off the rink and she mentioned that she loves to play hockey, your only reaction could be, "no way!"
Fact is, Ms. Camastra was one of the huge surprises of the MLRH Pro Tour in Tenerife.
If not the fastest skater on the floor, she certainly was in the top 5 in a group of highly skilled players from five nations.
And she plays with a verve and love for the game that may be unmatched in all of MLRH. "I guess you can't call an adult woman a rink rat but she certainly plays the roll," said MLRH President Bill Raue, "Plus, she is the quintessential Italian, constantly chattering, smoking those little cigars at the post game dinner and she never stops laughing. I doubt that she is five feet tall and can't weigh over 100 lbs."
She is feerless going into the corners to battle for the puck. She compensates for
her lack of size by getting incredibly low to the floor and, literally skating underneath
unsuspecting armpits of her opponents.
Oh yeah! She had three goals for her weekends work.
